Valuation is inherently uncertain. A stock that appears inexpensive can continue falling, and a stock that appears expensive can continue rising. Valuation Intelligence provides context about the price investors are paying — it does not predict short-term market movements, and it never produces a fair value, a price target or a buy or sell range. RESMED INC reads 61 out of 100 on Capital Returns Intelligence (Favorable Capital Returns), reflecting a dividend that has grown about 6.9% a year.
This company spent cash repurchasing stock, but the share count did not fall meaningfully because it also issued shares. Repurchase spending alone did not increase existing shareholders' ownership.

A very high dividend yield may reflect a falling share price or an unsustainable payout. Capital Returns Intelligence emphasizes consistency and sustainability rather than simply rewarding the highest yield.
Announced or gross buyback spending does not always mean shareholders are gaining ownership. Companies can simultaneously issue shares through employee compensation or acquisitions. Suggested Investments therefore considers actual share-count changes alongside repurchase spending.
Capital Returns Intelligence describes how a company returns capital to shareholders. It is not a measure of stock-price performance, it does not predict future returns, and a strong reading is never a recommendation to buy. Dividends and repurchases can be reduced or stopped at any time. Model CAPITAL_RETURNS_INTELLIGENCE_V1, contributing 0% to the Pro Investor Score.

In the company’s own words
We are a global leader in digital health and cloud-connected medical devices. We design innovative technology to empower people to live happier, healthier lives. Our artificial intelligence, or AI, powered digital health solutions, cloud-connected devices and intelligent software are designed to make home healthcare more personalized, accessible and effective. By enabling better care, our products improve quality of life, reduce the impact of chronic disease, and lower costs for consumers and healthcare systems.
Following our formation in 1989, we commercialized a continuous positive airway pressure, or CPAP, treatment for obstructive sleep apnea, or OSA, which was the first successful non-invasive treatment for OSA. CPAP systems deliver pressurized air, typically through a mask, to prevent collapse of the upper airway during sleep. Since the development of CPAP, we have expanded our business by developing or acquiring a number of innovative products and solutions for a broad range of sleep and related breathing health disorders including technologies to be applied in medical and consumer products, life support and ventilation devices, diagnostic products, mask systems for use in the hospital and home, headgear and other accessories, and dental devices. In addition, we are a leading provider of cloud-based health applications, software and devices designed to provide connected care, enabling clinicians to manage more patients efficiently and effectively, as well as enabling and encouraging patients’ long-term adherence to and satisfaction with their therapy.
In June 2026, we acquired Noctrix Health, LLC, or Noctrix, a company with an FDA De Novo classified medical device that treats restless legs syndrome. The acquisition expands our clinical sleep health portfolio into an adjacent area of unmet
need. Noctrix will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Resmed. Additional information regarding the transaction is included in Note 18 – Business Combinations and Divestitures of the Notes to Consolidated Financial Statements (Part II, Item 8).
