Markets can suddenly become dominated by attention, speculation and FOMO. A company's business barely changes in a week, yet the crowd around it can change completely.
Hype Radar measures each asset's own trading behaviour — volume, price movement, volatility and turnover — and reports when several of those measures become unusual at the same time. Public attention is included as extra context where we have reliable data, but it is never required.
Our published research found this combination identifies speculative episodes that are happening now with high precision. It did not find evidence that these signals arrive early or predict returns, so Hype Radar describes the present and makes no forecast.
